- Check to be sure the power supply is plugged into the monitor and a working power supply.
- Check to be sure the monitor is plugged into the computer.
- If that doesn't work, your RAM may need to be reseated. I can do that for you.
- Check to be sure the network cable is plugged into the computer and the wall connection. There should be lights blinking on the back of the CPU by the LAN cable if so.
- Check to be sure caps lock isn't on.
- Make sure you are choosing the right domain to log into. It should be listed as WCPSCHOOLS. The domain is listed next to the words "Log on to" on your windows login screen.
It won't turn on
- Be sure your battery is charged. Check by plugging in the charger for a few minutes, be sure you have a charging light and then try again.
- This could be several things depending on the setup in your classroom:
- If your computer is routed through an ELMO or document camera to the projector, be sure the document camera is on and on the correct setting.
- If you have an image on your notebook but not the projector, try right clicking. Then go to graphics properties. Make sure that that you have selected multiple displays (Monitor and Notebook)
- MacBook - Go to settings. Click displays. Click Gather Displays and then check the box next to Mirror Displays.
- PC - Hit Fn+F7 or Fn+F8 depending on your laptop.
- Be sure the input on your projector matches the input that the computer is plugged into. This button is generally located on the projector. If not, it will likeley be listed as an option under the main menu from the projector settings.
It's hung up on an app and I can't get out/ Something is stuck/I need to restart it but powering it off and on again just isn't working.
- Do a force restart. Hold down the home button and the power button together until you get an apple on the screen and let go.
- Check your password
- You can also trick it to working again by changing the time and date settings. I can show you how to do this.
I keep trying to print and nothing is happening
- Be sure you are sending your documents to the correct printer.
- Check to be sure that the internet cable is connected to both the printer and the wall jack.
- Restart the printer.
- Check to see if there is paper in the tray.
